APEX allows patent owners to enforce their rights through a streamlined process similar to arbitration, but without federal court involvement. Recently, as part of their continuous efforts to protect the intellectual property of their client, Dassault Systemes, Harness IP attorneys Glenn Forbis and Jeremiah Foley secured a judgment against Custom Tray, LLC and Bay Foam Packaging & Insulation, Inc. for $65,000 and $70,000, respectively, for infringement of Dassault’s SolidWorks copyrights. Harness IP has helped enforce Dassault’s copyrights against software piracy throughout the United States for several years, which has regularly resulted in the recovery of many millions of dollars in lost licensing revenue.
