We are proud to announce that an HCA Healthcare Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Clark Mitchell, son of Carey Mitchell, Speech Language Pathologist at HCA Florida Capital Hospital. The Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship, is funded by the HCA Healthcare Foundation to support dependents of HCA Healthcare colleagues in pursuing post-secondary education and offers scholarships for higher education expenses. Clark will begin his college career this fall at Hillsdale College. Clark says, “I am currently planning on double majoring in biochemistry and applied mathematics with the hopes of pursuing medicine. I’d also like to minor in Spanish so that in my future career, I will be able to fully communicate with and treat underserved Spanish-speaking communities.” Clarks mother, Carey says, “I am so proud of Clark, not only for the hard work he puts into his studies, but also for his genuine desire to make the lives of people around him better.
