  • A great day in Wisconsin! Healing Soils Foundation had the honor of attending day one of the Funders for Regenerative Agriculture and Rural Climate Partnership Midwest Learning Journey in the stunning Driftless region of Wisconsin yesterday! Together we witnessed firsthand the impact of rotational grazing and agroforestry practices that are transforming landscapes and regenerating soil health. 🐄🌳 We learned from innovative farmers leading the way in creating thriving ecosystems, promoting biodiversity, and enhancing food systems—all while addressing the climate crisis. This journey was a powerful reminder of the potential in regenerative agriculture and the importance of philanthropic support to farmers stewarding the land on our collective behalf. We’re excited to bring these insights back to inform our work in supporting farmers across the Midwest and collaborating with other funders and partners. Thank you to Kevin Miles Irby, Jennifer O'Connor, Josh Ewing, and Scott Laeser for organizing, and all the inspiring farmers and land stewards we met along the way! #RegenerativeAg #SoilHealth #SustainableFarming #RotationalGrazing #Agroforestry #HealingSoils #MidwestAgriculture #ClimateAction

  • Check out this great showcase of the work being done by so many farmers in Minnesota. As farmer Derek said, "we're passing on a legacy of healthy food, healthy land, and healthy family". Fantastic to see support from Understanding Ag, LLC - Experts in Regenerative Ag and Soil Health Academy working to come alongside farmers and provide the technical assistance needed to make the transition a little easier.

  • 🌾 What's better than weekends on the farm? 🚜 🐄 Yesterday was the #EatLocalCoopFarmTour. Since 2011, the Eat Local Co-op Farm Tour has connected co-op shoppers to the farmers at the heart of our local food system. This year's tour, featured 16 farms across the Twin Cities, eastern Minnesota, and western Wisconsin. 🌱✨ Days like this reinforce the vital role of local community-owned food co-ops that support and showcase our amazing local growers and the role they play in strengthening our community, environment, and local food system. 🌍❤️ Our Executive Director, Sarah Franz, was lucky enough to spend the day with local farmers practicing regenerative grazing and come home with an armful of organic produce! #HealingSoilsFoundation #EatLocalCoop #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableFarming #CommunitySupport #LocalFoodSystem #FarmTour2024

  • Yesterday was an inspiring day at the #ClimateInnovationSummit hosted by Chicago Innovation! It's always fun to see our friend and grantee Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin challenge the audience on the current state of our extractive agrifood system. Tree-Range® Farms is leading the way in regenerative poultry production in the Midwest and beyond and proving that regenerative practices can heal the earth, improve human health, and foster economic prosperity for farmers. We need collective action to support the farms stewarding our land and collective future. Let's keep the momentum going! #RegenerativeAg #OrganicAg #ChicagoInnovation
