Last week, the BSC Summit was held at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) campus in Durham, NC, providing an update on the projects initiated by the various BSC working groups and a discussion on future directions of the groups. A big thank you to Connie Mitchell, Julie Krzykwa, and Michelle Embry from the Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI) for organizing the event and for letting American Botanical Council be part of the summit.

New Funding Opportunity coming soon to build an innovative NAMs Data Hub and Coordinating Center! The NIH Common Fund has released a Notice of Intent to Publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement for creative researchers to build the Complement-ARIE Program NAMs Data Hub and Coordinating Center. This Center will coordinate program activities and function as a centralized Data Hub by creating and managing an integrated data structure. The Hub and Coordinating Center will support the development, validation, and qualification of NAMs while incorporating FAIR data principles. The estimated release date of the funding announcement is: November 29, 2024.
