We are the Centre for chemical safety assessment
About us
ECETOC provides a collaborative space for top scientists from industry, academia and governments to develop and promote practical, trusted and sustainable solutions to scientific challenges which are valuable to industry, as well as to the regulatory community and society in general. We SHAPE scientific knowledge by working with leading scientists from academia, governments and industry to answer crucial scientific questions about chemical safety and so develop practical applications to solve scientific challenges. We EXPAND scientific knowledge by working with Cefic’s Long-range Research Initiative (LRI) to develop targeted scientific research that tackles both today’s and tomorrow’s chemistry challenges. We COMMUNICATE scientific knowledge by providing scientific thought-leadership, creating a practical knowledge base that is shared freely on our website, alongside our chemical safety assessment tools.

🔬 Expanding the science of #endocrine #disruption Current regulatory frameworks focus on well-established #EATS modalities, but science is evolving to consider non-EATS pathways—including their links to #metabolic disorders like #diabetes, #obesity, and fatty #liver disease. Understanding these effects presents new challenges, from method availability to data interpretation. At our upcoming ECETOC #workshop in June, experts from #toxicology, #endocrinology, and regulatory science will: ✅ Explore the state of the science on non-EATS modalities ✅ Discuss challenges in assessment and data interpretation ✅ Identify #research priorities to improve confidence in evaluating metabolic disorders Join us as we advance the conversation and help shape the future of endocrine disruption science. 📅 18-19 June 2025 📍 Brussels and online ✍ Register from the link below ⤵️ 💬 "The question isn’t whether we address non-EATS effects—it’s how we do it right." #EndocrineDisruptors #Toxicology #MetabolicDisorders #RegulatoryScience #ScientificAdvancement
