A Quarter of Connection, Learning, and Growth 🎯 I’ve had the incredible opportunity to visit several clubs across the country this past quarter. From the vibrant fitness communities in PA, MA, NH, and CA, to connecting with passionate owners and their teams, it’s been an inspiring journey. 💪✨ During these visits, I had the privilege of touring fitness facilities, experiencing dynamic classes firsthand, and learning what makes each club unique. Every interaction deepened my appreciation for the industry I serve and the important role fitness facilities play in communities across the globe. I'm also excited to share that we recently launched our first focus group initiative with operators from across the New England region. This initiative is designed to better understand the challenges members face and identify how we can better support you in your daily operations. The insights we’ve gathered are invaluable, and I’m eager to continue this dialogue as we move forward. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team, membership recruitment over the last quarter is on the rise! 🚀👏 The next club visits on my agenda include visits in ME, CT, and NJ, and I can’t wait to connect with even more of you to learn how HFA can help improve your operations. As the association continues to grow in strength and numbers, I encourage you to join us and be a part of this exciting journey. Let’s work together to build the future of fitness! • "Telling their story, that resonates. That makes them understand not what the bill looks like on paper, but what the real life implications are for the businesses that they represent." Mike Goscinski, HFA VP of government affairs, talks about this during his interview on the Wellness Paradox Podcast. He says fitness facilities need to be front of mind when lawmakers are making policy decisions. And to be front of mind, they need real stories about real people. It's our job as an association to help tell those stories, by connecting the dots between policymakers and the folks on the ground running their fitness facilities. Stream the episode now, wherever you get your podcasts, and join Goscinski and interviewer Michael Stack in a candid conversation breaking down the walls that often make advocacy seem intimidating. They talk the importance of grassroots advocacy, strategies to counter outdated stereotypes about the industry, how the HFA interacts with policy issues across the country, and concrete examples of how these advocacy efforts have worked historically. #healthandfitness #fitness #wellness #fitpros #grassrootsadvocacy #storytelling
