This month, we raise our voices to break the stigma surrounding mental health and ensure everyone has access to the support they need. As a technology company, we love offering powerful solutions to help improve mental health. Here’s how you can harness these innovations to boost your mental well-being: Teletherapy Services Connect with a therapist who understands your cultural background and can offer personalized support from the comfort of your home. Online Support Communities Join forums and social media groups where you can share your experiences and find support from others who understand your journey Educational Resources Educate yourself about mental health through online courses, webinars, and podcasts. Recognizing the importance of mental health is a powerful act of self-care and community empowerment. Let’s use this Minority Mental Health Awareness Month to prioritize our mental well-being and support one another in this journey. Did you know, That the black maternal mortality rate (37.1) is over double the overall maternal rate (17.4) in the United States? While this can be intimidating, there are ways to counter this disparity and close the gap in African American women's health. As we spread awareness of the current disparity in women's maternal health, one of our objectives is to empower you in your maternal health process. Some of the ways that we do that are by: • empowering you to take control of your maternal healthcare process • developing a tribe that you can trust • Equipping you with the digital tools that you need to understand what's happening in your body during your pregnancy You can find out more about our digital tools in the link below healthevolve.co spread/share this post to spread awareness and empower other women seeking solutions. I’m Allyson is an elite track runner who felt very prepared for her pregnancy journey, training and running during her pregnancy. However, at 32 weeks, she was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia. Being a professional athlete Allyson never saw herself being in this situation. While the situation was scary, Allyson was determined to be persistent and to be heard. Allyson now uses her story to empower other women to be prepared, be aware, not be intimidated, and to have a plan in place. There's no feeling like being prepared and educated during the maternal process. Visit healthevolve.co to find out more about how we can help equip you with the tools you need along your health journey. Despite their profound impact, mental health challenges and conditions are frequently overlooked. This neglect disproportionately affects lower-income individuals and ethnic minorities, exacerbating chronic health issues and economic hardships. If unaddressed, the cost of these inequities could reach $14 trillion by 2040. As we spread awareness, we hope that this gap becomes smaller with the goal for quality healthcare to be easily accessible across the board. Mona shared her story of how her maternity process was made better with the help of midwives and her community to rely upon. During her process she experienced swelling in her legs and a flutter in her chest around the 41 week timeframe. Her midwives referred her for more testing after she brought up these concerns and she was able to discover that she had Preeclampsia. After having an emergency C-Section, Mona was able to have a healthy baby. Mona is exceptionally grateful for her community of support. She emphasizes how important it is for women to advocate for themselves, stating, “trust yourself, you are the expert of yourself of your body and your experience” Her community was able to help her think through what was happening as well as be an advocate for her. View Mona’s story here https://lnkd.in/eFnEQmaA Our mission at health Evolve is to empower women with community and the ability to be able to advocate for themselves with digital tools during the maternal process.
