We’re thrilled to announce that MEDITECH has joined our Qualified Health Information Network (#QHIN) to support its recently announced US-based Traverse Exchange #interoperability network with real-time access to comprehensive patient data. Built on the same foundation as MEDITECH’s successful Traverse Exchange Canada solution, this new private network will enable participating MEDITECH customers to share health data seamlessly and securely with one another as well as with organizations using other vendor EHRs and exchange networks that comply with interoperability standards. “Our team at Health Gorilla has been looking forward to the opportunity to build on the work we’ve already accomplished with MEDITECH in Canada and support their new US network,” said Steve Yaskin, CEO and Co-founder of Health Gorilla. “MEDITECH has shown an unparalleled commitment to improving interoperability, and we’re proud to support them as they begin to participate in TEFCA through our QHIN and scale their Traverse Exchange network.”

Health Gorilla is a Fed-designated Qualified Health Information Network, the national health data platform.
About us
Health Gorilla provides secure interoperability solutions that enable healthcare organizations to seamlessly access the data they need to deliver high quality care. Leveraging our suite of FHIR-based APIs, master patient index, and data platform, our customers get instant connectivity to a broad clinical network to retrieve data for their products, extract insights that inform care delivery, and succeed in risk-based models. Our vision is to build a single national network that can retrieve and house all health data on any patient, ranging from medical records and labs to social determinants of health. By working with ONC to achieve TEFCA compliance and pursue status as a Qualified Health Information Network, we can scale the breadth of our data network nationally and deliver value across the healthcare ecosystem.

#Interoperability in action means more than just sharing data—it means creating a unified view of the patient that improves decision-making across the continuum of care. For example, imagine a scenario where a patient’s lab results, imaging reports, and medication history are seamlessly integrated into a single platform. This level of interoperability reduces administrative burden and improves the accuracy of clinical decisions. Health Gorilla bridges gaps in fragmented information, making data interoperability a reality for healthcare providers and stakeholders across the U.S. Learn how Health Gorilla bridges healthcare data gaps. https://lnkd.in/gEp6A7CU

Value-based care relies on timely and accurate data, yet many providers face barriers to accessing this information. With a network of over 750,000 clinicians and 220 million patient records, Health Gorilla exemplifies how broad data access can enable better care coordination. Access to comprehensive patient data allows providers to track key metrics, evaluate treatment outcomes, and identify care gaps. It also supports population health initiatives by providing the insights needed to manage chronic conditions and reduce disparities. Learn more https://lnkd.in/gEp6A7CU

Compliance with federal and state regulations, such as #HIPAA and the Cures Act Final Rule, is a growing concern for healthcare organizations. Staying compliant requires more than just technical solutions—it demands a comprehensive approach to data governance. Incomplete or inaccurate data not only affects patient outcomes but also exposes organizations to regulatory risks and penalties. As regulations continue to evolve, organizations must adopt proactive strategies to manage compliance while minimizing operational risks. Trusted as an interoperability partner, Health Gorilla ensures organizations stay ahead of evolving federal and state compliance requirements while minimizing risks associated with incomplete or inaccurate data. The healthcare industry is undergoing a transformation with the introduction of the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (#TEFCA). #QHINs, or Qualified Health Information Networks, are central to this framework, enabling secure, nationwide data exchange. QHINs provide a common set of standards and policies that ensure interoperability at scale. They are critical to advancing the goals of TEFCA, which include improving care coordination, reducing duplication, and fostering innovation in health IT. Understanding the role of QHINs is essential for any organization looking to stay ahead in the evolving healthcare landscape. Purpose-built as a Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN), Health Gorilla is a leader in nationwide data exchange, providing simplified access to clinical information. The concept of an #interoperability gateway is becoming increasingly important as organizations seek to manage the complexity of healthcare data exchange. These gateways simplify the process of integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and compliance. Interoperability gateways are not just about technology—they also address organizational challenges like aligning workflows and maintaining data security. By acting as a single point of connection, these gateways reduce operational overhead and accelerate data sharing. As an interoperability gateway for healthcare information, Health Gorilla’s solutions simplify the process of ingesting and integrating data from disparate systems.
