The HealthHIV L.I.F.T. Summit was a success! I appreciate being invited to share key insights and practical strategies to improve #PrEP intent and uptake among Black cisgender women: -amplify the expertise of Black women (and cite us!) -measure success milestones such as increased awareness, intent and self efficacy (beyond just PrEP use) -engage in strategic and reciprocal partnerships -launch clinician education and capacity building -tailor messages and imagery to reflect diverse Black women -reframe PrEP from risks to health seeking #HIVprevention #education #partnership #community #health #public health #tailored #messaging #socialmarketing

In the midst of HBCU homecoming season, I felt right at home during HealthHIV’s LIFT HIV Summit. I touched on partnership and capacity building for non-profit orgs, while being an example of a sustainable partnership in action. I got to fellowship with former DC Department of Health HAHSTA colleagues and have a knowledge exchange with some of the areas greatest HIV service providers. Grateful to be able to return to water the community that nourished my roots. Thank you again HealthHIV and DC Department of Health. Looking forward to partnering again soon.
