HQI’s Kathryn Zapach attended CDC’s Southern Regional Recipient Meeting to showcase our work in Turning the Tide on Diabetes. While there, she spent time with HQI’s CDC project officer and subject matter experts, while networking with other southern states. Kudos, Kathryn!

At HQI, we prioritize building teamwork outside of an office setting to reconnect and spark ideas. While together, we participated in various activities such as making suncatchers, axe throwing, a historical city tour, miniature golf, and a visit to a botanical garden.

FACT: Even if nursing home residents are not leaving the facility, COVID-19 can still come in. Nursing home staff and visitors can unknowingly carry the virus. The vaccine helps protect everyone from severe illness, no matter where they are, and helps prevent a single infection from becoming an outbreak. #COVID19 #Vaccination #Healthcare

The HQI team recently gathered in Richmond, Virginia for our biannual All Team Meeting. As a remote company, this time allows us to reconnect and share our experiences, achievements and goals, while having a great time together. This time, we celebrated our 40th anniversary! We are excited to see what we will accomplish together as we work toward our next milestone.

After years of public access to the COVID-19 vaccine, we can confidently say that the side effects are mild and temporary — comparable to a flu vaccine. These side effects can include a sore arm, tiredness, mild fever, or slight swelling at the injection site. They typically go away within a few days.
