Meet Evelyn, a Nursing Director at a Kansas senior care facility. She’s seen how quickly a mild case of COVID-19 can turn serious for elderly residents, leading to hospitalizations and long recoveries. That’s why Evelyn received her updated COVID-19 vaccine and urges everyone in her facility to follow suit. By reducing the risk of severe illness, she’s keeping her residents out of the hospital. Share your vaccination story and use the hashtag #VaccinationHero! #Vaccination #COVID19

Our team members are energized by opportunities to reduce avoidable harms, improve population health, make health care more equitable, and align technology with care delivery. FACT: Even if nursing home residents are not leaving the facility, COVID-19 can still come in. Nursing home staff and visitors can unknowingly carry the virus. The vaccine helps protect everyone from severe illness, no matter where they are, and helps prevent a single infection from becoming an outbreak. #COVID19 #Vaccination #Healthcare

After years of public access to the COVID-19 vaccine, we can confidently say that the side effects are mild and temporary — comparable to a flu vaccine. These side effects can include a sore arm, tiredness, mild fever, or slight swelling at the injection site. They typically go away within a few days.
