We are thrilled to welcome Omri Shick as our new Managing Director of Hebrew and Israel Studies at Hebrew Public! Omri brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership and a passion for data-driven instruction. As the principal of a 6-12 school, he has a strong background in coaching, supporting teachers, and fostering thriving learning environments, dedicating himself to helping students reach their goals. Originally from Israel, Omri's journey is truly inspiring. From serving in the military to working as a security officer with diplomatic status, and later falling in love with education while attending City College, his diverse experiences enrich our community. Omri holds honors degrees in chemistry and education, a master's in biology and education, and a post-master's in leadership, along with certification as an Autism Spectrum Disorder specialist. Omri has also contributed significantly to academic research and has been instrumental in creating strong bonds and a diverse culture between colleges and schools. Mara Cooper and Mackenzie Jones, MPA are excited to support Hebrew Language Academy Charter School (HLA) of Brooklyn, NY with their search for a 3rd - 5th grade Dean of Academics. Opened in 2009, HLA is the founding school in the Hebrew Public network of schools. HLA has a diverse student population that uniquely reflects the multicultural and vibrant dynamics of the neighborhood. The school serves nearly 700 students on its two campuses: a PreK-4 elementary school campus and a 5-8 middle school campus. Hebrew Public seeks a Dean of Academics to serve as an integral educational leader supporting the academic program at Hebrew Language Academy (HLA). Working closely with the network academic leadership team and with school-based staff, the Academic Dean will play a critical role in leading and supporting Hebrew Public to achieve its academic vision by leading data-driven instructional coaching and professional development. - Location: Brooklyn, NY - Salary Range of $80,000 - $100,00 - Excellent benefits!
