    Day 2 - Impact Live in Hartford, CT. Favorite session yesterday was on creating content for human connection in the age of AI. What makes content “HUMAN”??? Marcus Sheridan, a master of both leveraging AI and writing very visceral, human content shared slides on: “The 7 Signals of Human Content” We are now in an age where it isn’t enough to just show professional credibility. When our prospective buyers read our marketing and engage with sales, the FIRST thing they will ask is, “Is this human???!” So, friends, let’s pay attention to what makes our content HUMAN. It’s the way to build trust. One Signal of Human Content that produced a lot of debate was “Quirks and Imperfections” Why? Because for some in the room it went against the grain of being “professional”. Funny enough, when pressed to define what their professions voice sounded like, one company in the room said “robotic”. 🤦🏻♀️😂 But that’s real. Friends, let’s be human AND professional. I’m committed to helping the world of B2B services figure this out. What do you think “professional” means while showcasing some quirks and imperfections that cue your audience that you’re human?     One year ago this week, I transitioned from 15 years of self-employment to working on a team. If you're interested in why I made the switch, look back at my LinkedIn post from a year ago. 😄 The last year at HEIGHTS STRATEGIC MARKETING has been filled with growth opportunities as I've learned to work as part of a team. Here are a few ways I've grown... 🔹 I ask for help sooner. When I get stuck on something, I'm far more likely to raise the flag and tap a teammate to help me think through a path forward than stare at the "thing" trying to figure it out myself. 🔹 I'm a more proactive communicator. I tend to go head down on a project and then emerge with the work done. This was fine when it was just me and clients, but not so much on a team. I'm learning to loop the team in on where I am with the projects I'm working on so we're all on the same page. 🔹 I'm more disciplined in how I spend my time. I feel a greater sense of responsibility in how I spend my work hours since I'm accountable to a team. Generally, this has translated into more focused use of my time. It's been a fun year. Certainly, there have been highs and lows, and I still have plenty of room for growth. Erin Fults, Director of Client Strategy spoke on "How to Attract and Book More Ideal Clients" In other words, she shared: 1.     Finally getting around to posting about PrimeGlobal - The Association of Advisory and Accounting Firms’s incredible MegaWeek in San Antonio last week! The conference was packed with insightful sessions on (CX) with Katie Tolin, industry challenges, StoryBrand with Erin Fults at HEIGHTS STRATEGIC MARKETING, innovative marketing strategies, and more. It was heartwarming to reconnect with everyone in person after missing last year. The Marketing Forum announced two new co-chairs as Brunella Caldas Reid, MBA, PCM, CDMP passed the torch to Phyllis Sossi and Lindsay Sherrill. A huge thank you to all who attended, contributed, and to our sponsors— Aiwyn, LCvista, Beeye, Introhive, LumiQ, Miles Talent Hub | Accounting, SafeSend and Spiirall—who played a key role in making MegaWeek a success. The tequila and mezcal tastings provided by Aiwyn and the BBQ Rub provided by LCvista added a special touch to the event.
