Over the past six months, we’ve focused intensely on building new features that empower small businesses to create their own AI automation agents.
But in doing so, we’ve missed an essential step: ensuring that what we’ve built is as seamless and bug-free as possible.
Why is this step so important?
Because a platform riddled with bugs would be incredibly frustrating to use. Occasional bugs are understandable, but a seamless experience is essential. Our goal is to support our small business users in creating AI automations without adding to their stress, and that starts with providing a reliable, bug-free platform.
That’s why we’re pausing feature development to reinforce our foundation.
Our work ahead: This week, our team is focusing solely on refining what’s already in place.
Learning from our mistakes:
We’ve implemented a dedicated staging environment to test all updates thoroughly before they reach our customers, ensuring a consistent, reliable experience.
Are we proud of what we’ve built so far? Absolutely. But there’s still a lot of work ahead.
Whats in the making?
We’re laying the groundwork for our next big milestone: a voice-to-text feature that lets you simply describe what you need automated—no triggers or actions to configure.
The top lesson learned?
Partner with a software company, engage with their users, and identify where they’re spending excessive time on repetitive tasks. By understanding their challenges, we can present use cases that reduce time spent on non-essential activities, ultimately freeing up their day and streamlining their workflow.
We are starting this week to honing in on SmartSuite for our initial use-case examples, thanks to my personal connection with founders Jon Darbyshire and Tara Darbyshire I see a big opportunity in helping their users automate tasks on platforms without APIs, bridging gaps between information on non-API websites and actions in SmartSuite.
