Care Coordination President Julie McCarter participated in a panel of industry leaders at City & State’s Innovations in Value-based Care recently. The topics focused on innovative value-based models in home care, like Care Coordination from Help at Home, that have the ability to reshape and advance the home and health care system. “We’re more focused than ever on developing innovative service offerings enabling us to do more for more,” said McCarter. “We’ve seen impactful results from our value-based programs and partnerships that help us to connect home care to the greater health care ecosystem. This month is Global Diversity Awareness Month. As we pay tribute to the diverse minds and beliefs held by all cultures around the world, this month is a reminder of the positive impact a diverse culture of people can have on society as a whole. "At Help at Home, we celebrate the rich diversity of our people, recognizing that both their differences and similarities give us strength,” said Director of Culture Diversity and Inclusion Muziet Shata. “Unity in diversity isn't just a concept, but a vital part of our inclusive culture for clients, employees and partners. We champion equity in all aspects of our operations, turning awareness into action for a more inclusive, empathetic and harmonious Help at Home community.” #HelpatHome #HomeCare #GlobalDiversityAwarenessMonth

A recent The Washington Post article highlighted an urgent and growing issue of the "gray revolution"—more than 16 million older Americans are aging alone (the highest number on record). https://lnkd.in/eGzgGxPv In fact, millions either lack spousal support or get little to no help from their children, which can increase their feelings of loneliness even more. This is a problem we take very seriously. At Help at Home, we’re proud to support people who are aging at home. To that end, our caregivers provide seniors with both companionship and a continuum of care that help them remain in the comfort of their own homes. With this support, seniors truly don’t have to experience loneliness like they once did. #HelpatHome #HomeCare #GrayRevolution

It’s officially Fall Ya’ll! We love the season because it gives us an opportunity to promote awareness of the importance of falls prevention. Falls are the leading cause of fatal injuries and can severely impact the quality of life, especially for the senior population. During Falls Prevention Awareness Week, September 22-28, we’re spreading the word about the importance of identifying hazards that can cause falls. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month further, we’re featuring thoughts from Waukegan, Illinois Branch Manager, Eunice Diaz. “Hispanic Heritage month for me is a celebration of who I am and where my family roots come from,” said Eunice. “Both my parents were born and raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. As a first generation Mexican American, I feel proud and honored to be able to appreciate the culture and values that my parents inherited to me and be able to pass that on to my own children.” #HelpatHome #HomeCare #HispanicHeritageMonth
