Hemex is developing a diagnostic platform (utilizing technology which received a 2016 Patents for Humanity Award) that can quickly and easily diagnose hemoglobin disorders, such as sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia, from a drop of blood. Gazelle is a point-of-care, in vitro diagnostic platform that uses #AI, innovative optics, and miniaturization to help diagnose diseases (including sickle cell and beta thalassemia) in underserved areas. Hemex Health, Inc. has distributed over 1.3 million tests for sickle cell disease in 38 countries and is now bringing Gazelle to the United States with the support of a National Institutes of Health grant. Sickle cell disease is most prevalent among African Americans and Hispanic Americans. Most individuals in the United States who possess the trait are not aware of it due to limited access to testing. Hemex is seeking a breakthrough device designation from the FDA to address this situation.

A screening camp with the message: Match your 'Rakt Kundali' Before tying the knot! Grateful to be a part of Rotary's first ever Thalassemia screening camp of RY 2024-25 using Gazelle, held on 3rd September at Shambhu Dayal College, Ghaziabad. It created a lasting impact by providing real-time education about this serious genetic disorder.
