🥷 Background Checks 🥷 I had a great exchange with Travis Reiter at Perfect Fit Background Checks and asked him why background checks are so important for businesses: 🧯 Workplace Safety: Background checks are essential for mitigating the risk of accidents and incidents. This protects you, your customers, and your fellow employees. True story: The client who hired a driver with an expired driver's license who got in a car accident on the clock. Well, that was a nightmare to resolve. 💣 Reputation Protection: Your brand's reputation is invaluable, and adverse situations resulting from negligent hiring decisions can significantly impact it. Facts: Building a positive reputation takes time and it can quickly be undermined by just one adverse incident. 💸 Financial & Legal Implications:  Negligent hiring when an employer hires an individual into a role with no background check can pose significant risks to your company. True story: The employee who ran invoices through Accounts Payable for work that was being completed by a "contractor". She was laid off and also the "contractor".
