HerMoney from Jean Chatzky. The leading personal finance website for women.

About us

HerMoney, the personal finance brand from Jean Chatzky, is a multimedia company changing the relationships women have with money...one woman at a time. Women have more money — in our own names — than ever before. We have more education. More earning power. More spending power. More power in general. Yet our confidence in our ability to manage that money (in particular, to invest it) has not grown at the same pace. To get us where we need to be, we need a resource that makes us feel comfortable, supported, and, at the same time, special and in-the-know. HerMoney — whether it's a newsletter you receive in your inbox, a site you visit, a podcast you listen to, a social feed you follow, or an event you attend — is that resource. It's a place you feel able to ask your questions and to share the tough lessons you've learned. It’s where you laugh, think, commiserate, help and plan. It gets you off the dime to take action — and taking action is what it's all about. Our mission is to help women take charge of our money, so we can take charge of and enjoy our lives.

I've been reporting on personal finance for decades—and in that time, I've cracked the code on budgeting. 📊 The secret is surprisingly simple: Give every dollar you earn a purpose. Whether that purpose as simple as buying groceries or as complex as saving for retirement, each dollar plays an essential role in creating the life you want. 🏡 In fact, NOT knowing where your money is going is an opportunity cost. You're giving up the ability to travel, retire early, or even just grab a little treat on the way home from work. So how do you fix it? 🤔 Join me on Tuesday 10/15 at 7PM ET for a FREE webinar where I’ll share my tried and true strategies for getting a handle on your money… Secure your spot before it’s too late: https://lnkd.in/dGZ_t8ie

Wondering what the headlines mean for your money? Here's this week in your wallet. 🗞️ 📈 Nvidia had a great earnings report yesterday... but its stock price still took a bit of a hit. Why? Well, CNBC reports that many investors aren't confident that the company can maintain its rate of growth, so they're cooling off on buying up all its stock. (I actually think this is a good thing for folks who focus more on long-term investing like I do!) 🎓 Filling out the FAFSA is never fun, but last year it was especially nightmarish, reports Higher Ed Dive. This year, the department of education is planning a gradual rollout to ensure that families get their aid packages in a timely manner. 💰 The SAVE plan is facing yet another legal challenge, and the Supreme Court isn't clearing the way. Now, millions of borrowers are in limbo, reports The Washington Post. If that's you, prepare for the possibility of a higher monthly payment soon. #nvidia #nvda #stockmarket #nvidiaearnings #fafsa #studentaid #studentloans #saveplan #supremecourt #twiyw #financialnews
