The Kansas City Streetcar Main Street Extension reached a major milestone in early September when the 5th and final Traction Power Substation (TPSS) was installed near 44th Street. The five substations convert electricity from the local grid to the correct voltage and current type to power the streetcars through the Overhead Catenary System (OCS), the wires that travel above the streetcar. #Ridein2025
