Last week, Hey Jane officially helped our 70,000th patient get the care they need. Passing such a big milestone was an important reminder to our team that the work we do matters—each and every patient, each and every day. On the day that Roe v. Wade was overturned? We were here, providing care. On the day a judge in Texas tried to (and eventually failed to) restrict access to mifepristone? We were here, providing care. On Election Day? We were here, providing care. Getting safe, discreet reproductive and sexual health care—including abortion care—to people is what we do. And we’re going to keep doing it. If you—or someone you know—needs reproductive and sexual health care, Hey Jane is here for you. From abortion pills to birth control, emergency contraception to treatment for vaginal infections, we’ll always be a text away. Join us and continue to support our work in expanding abortion access during this pivotal moment at heyjane.com/action

Ohio is becoming a destination for abortion care, especially for people in neighboring states like Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia—where abortion restrictions make access nearly impossible. You have the constitutional right to travel, and as long as you’re in Ohio for your consultation and treatment, you can receive care from Hey Jane. Alyssa Wagner, Medical Director at Hey Jane, shared her personal connection to Ohio with the The Columbus Dispatch as we expand our reproductive and sexual health care services to the state. 🌟 For Alyssa, launching Hey Jane’s services in Ohio is more than a professional milestone—it’s deeply personal. After experiencing Ohio’s six-week abortion ban firsthand, Alyssa is passionate about providing accessible, compassionate care. “I could have traveled out of state, but I had a young child, and the logistics of that were not simple," she told the news outlet. "Having that incredibly traumatic experience of not being able to access FDA-approved, evidence-based care that was right for me as an individual because of where I lived was something I don’t think any patient should have to experience.” By expanding our services to all of Ohio, we’re offering even more options to care for Ohioans and individuals from surrounding states. Alyssa’s story is a powerful reminder of why our mission to provide high-quality, evidence-based reproductive care is so important. Hey Jane—and countless others—have had abortion-related posts removed, accounts suppressed, and content shadow banned. Social media should be a tool for sharing vital health information, not silencing it. If this has happened to you, Repro Uncensored and the Electronic Frontier Foundation are tracking these cases to hold platforms accountable. Report your experience at reprouncensored.org and help fight back. The fall of Roe v. Wade means the work that we do at Hey Jane is more important than ever—which is why we continue to find ways to address barriers and expand access to care. Thank you to Her Campus Media for spotlighting our work, and the ways we're continuing to make a difference in 2025 and beyond. “As abortion bans continue to push care out of reach, we’re focused on expanding access—whether that’s through financial support, increasing insurance coverage, or fighting censorship that keeps patients from finding us,” explained Hey Jane's Medical Director, Alyssa Wagner. With our reproductive and sexual health care services now available in 20 states, we’re providing a discreet, flexible, affordable, and patient-centered option in a moment when it's most needed. Telemedicine is key to protecting access to abortion care—as Hey Jane co-founder and CEO Kiki Freedman explains in an op-ed for The Hill this week. "Today one in five abortion-seekers choose to use telemedicine to receive care. As the CEO of Hey Jane, a virtual abortion clinic that’s helped over 75,000 patients access care, I can tell you firsthand: telemedicine isn’t just a pandemic-era stopgap. It is the key to enabling access in a broken health care system. This is why we must protect it from the latest attacks by anti-abortion extremists." As the leading virtual clinic providing reproductive and sexual health care, including abortion care, we are committed to leveraging technology and expertise to protect these essential services. FACT: There are 12x more fake clinics than real in-person abortion clinics in Ohio. 🔹 6 in-person clinics with appointments available within a week. 🔹 136+ fake clinics spreading misinformation. 🔹 $22M in state funding has gone to these fake clinics since 2022. For many, accessing real care means hours of travel, lost wages, and extra costs. This isn’t by accident—it’s by design. Ohio deserves real care, not deception. Hey Jane is here for you. Get safe, discreet abortion care from your phone—no misinformation, no judgment. 📢 Please share this post to spread access and awareness. More people deserve to know their real options.
