As Andrew Magliozzi says, it’s not about what AI can do—it’s about what we do with it. How can we use AI to make a more connected, more human future?
AI is simultaneously overhyped and underestimated. It is far from capable of doing what most human jobs entail, but it is also capable of automating significant portions of almost every job. Whether you’re optimistic, pessimistic, or undecided about AI, it’s imperative that we all pay attention to what is happening. The rate of change is extraordinary and accelerating by the week. AI is potentially more momentous than the internet, telegraph, or printing press, because AI is the first technology capable of making decisions by itself. In the coming years, we will gain millions of AI members (or agents) in our information networks – they will make alien decisions and generate alien ideas that would never occur to a human. The only way to be prepared is to get familiar with this technology now – by using, experimenting, and exploring its power and its limitations. https://lnkd.in/gmGwi5uu
