Even the nursing students got in on the action as our registered therapy pet teams visited hospice patients at The Huntington at Nashua today! Students and staff as well as patients and visitors enjoyed interacting with miniature horses Bucky (pictured) and Nutmeg. As you can see, the horses wear Velcro sneakers indoors so that they don’t slip on any hard floor surfaces. These amazing beings bring smiles and comfort wherever they go. #pettherapy #volunteer #WeAreHHHC

As we celebrate former President Jimmy Carter’s 100th birthday, we extend our gratitude for his courageous decision to openly share his choice of hospice care. His transparency sparked important conversations nationwide, helping more people access the compassionate care they need and deserve. Check out this CBS News segment highlighting the evolution of hospice care in response to America’s growing elderly population.

❄With colder weather comes the dreaded flu season....and our annual flu clinic for employees and volunteers! Getting a flu shot is an easy and important way for us to protect ourselves, our team, and most importantly, the patients we care for every day. And our staff are smiling through it all, just like our amazing PT, Candace! Let’s keep each other healthy this season! 💪🏼 #EmployeeWellness #FluFighters #HealthcareHeroes

The UNH Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program provided us with a grant to renovate our gardens around the Community Hospice House patio. We are grateful for their partnership in bringing additional beauty to the spaces our patients and families use and enjoy. The series will begin October 3, 2024 and continue weekly through December 12, 2024 (taking the week of Thanksgiving off). Sessions will be held at 7 Executive Park Drive in Merrimack.
