HiberTec Homes is an innovative, cutting-edge, fully-patented, and AFFORDABLE design & process where custom fully-scalable modular homes automatically lower completely underground when wildfire threats arise- to then resurface safely to ground level after the threat has passed. (We also protect against severe wind events!) The entire process of transitioning a HiberTec Home to its protective underground vault is estimated to be 15 minutes or less, and will be fully-automated, designed to be initiated via an app on any Smartphone. Before hydraulically lowering underground, the home’s sewer, water, and utility lines are disconnected via our patented system that ensures safe and proper transitioning. A non-toxic fire-retardant system sprays the immediate area surrounding the home as it descends. Once final descent has completed, our patented retractable alloy roof structure deploys to temporarily seal the vault’s enclosure.
