Reflecting on this year’s Global Exchange Conference, it was a truly memorable experience, even though it concluded early due to Hurricane Milton. While many team members returned home to support their families and our guests, others remained on-site to assist with essential activities, including packing and assisting the GXC team. We want to express our sincere gratitude to the GXC2024 team for organizing such an impactful event. The conference provided a platform for vital discussions on addiction treatment, allowing professionals to explore High Watch programs and share innovative strategies. A heartfelt thank you goes to the dedicated High Watch team who stayed on campus to assist our guests during this time. Your unwavering commitment truly reflects the values of this conference. 📌 Our fourth meeting is scheduled for next Saturday, October 26th, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will gather in the atrium at 1:45 p.m. to sign in and receive instructions. This meeting is open to all families of individuals struggling with addiction and alcoholism who wish to learn more about the Al-Anon program. High Watch alumni and family members are welcome to attend; however, current guests will not be present. This past Sunday, our team of runners hit the pavement at the BMW Berlin Marathon, raising funds for the High Watch Recovery Center’s Wilson Bed program. This initiative provides crucial treatment for individuals who otherwise couldn’t afford it, addressing the needs of those struggling with alcoholism and substance use disorder. Completing 26.2 miles is no easy task, but it serves as a powerful reminder that embracing challenges is a fundamental part of our journey. Whether it’s seeking sobriety, asking for help, or connecting with others, these hard-earned steps reveal our true potential. Together, we can achieve more than we ever imagined! 💚
