Recently authored a blog for High Watch Recovery Center, "Advocacy in Action: High Watch Recovery's Commitment to Positive Change" highlighting the vital role of advocacy and treatment. As the world’s first 12-step treatment center, High Watch Recovery Center continues to set the standard for compassionate and evidence-based addiction treatment. But our impact extends beyond treatment—we are committed to advocacy that drives policy changes, enhances access to care, and strengthens community support. At High Watch, we believe that recovery is a collective effort. By collaborating with local organizations, engaging policymakers, and creating awareness, we’re not only helping to save lives, but also building a supportive network that tackles stigma and advances SUD policies. Our advocacy efforts focus on increasing awareness of effective treatment models, promoting equitable access to services, and driving innovation in addiction care. Through these initiatives, we aim to create lasting change that benefits individuals, families, and communities alike. #Advocacy #AddictionTreatment #HighWatchRecovery #TreatmentWorks #CommunitySupport https://lnkd.in/eec9Swdw

  • We would like to recognize the remarkable efforts of the Joy Farm team. Their dedication not only involves agricultural and animal care but also has a profound impact on our Hope House guests. Their daily contributions serve as a source of inspiration and motivation, creating a positive and nurturing environment. 💚 🌻 🍎 Kurt and Ron lead the agriculture team, which our Hope House guests support. Together, they tend to our vegetable garden and deliver fresh produce to the barn, where our dining services team incorporates it into meals for our guests. Additionally, they create stunning floral arrangements weekly for our barn and offices and design, plant, and care for flower beds around the main facility. 🐴 🐓At Joy Farm, Allie and Donna oversee our horses and chickens. Our Hope House guests assist in their daily care, including feeding, grooming, and supporting activities during the weekly Equine Assisted Learning Program, which runs four times a week for three hours each session. We are profoundly grateful for these dedicated individuals who work tirelessly through all weather conditions—be it sunny, rainy, or snowy—to ensure that Joy Farm remains a sanctuary where our guests can find comfort and reconnect with nature. 🌲💚
