  • It isn't enough to be good lawyers. It's just as important to do good things.

WOW ATLANTA! You impressed me… I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported the American Liver Foundation’s (ALF) Liver Life Walk this past Saturday. For the 3rd year in a row, you have proven that Atlanta knows how to support an organization. Whether you are personally affected by liver disease or have a lost …. loved one in the battle, your contributions have made a difference in the fight against liver disease, and I am thrilled to have served as your Chair! Drum roll please…so far, you raised over $42,600! That number is amazing and to put it into perspective, our first walk (October 2022) raised $8,000, the second (June 2023) $25,000 and now over $42,000! But that’s not all. Contributions continue to be accepted through October when the Liver Foundation will conclude its “walk season” with a national virtual walk! If we raise $8,000 more, we will continue our streak of doubling our monetary donations for 3 years in a row! If you have not donated, please consider donation at liverlifewalk.org/atlanta I want to give a huge thank you to our local onsite sponsors, Emory Healthcare, Piedmont, United Digestive, Hudson Lambert Parrott, LLC, Walgreens, Mirum Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Georgia Transplant Foundation. Thank you to Fitlife and Jazzercise Alpharetta North Point Fitness Center for providing onsite health and wellness information, giveaways and our warmup exercises! Thank you to Fontis Water, Jaemor Farms and Sams Club for supplying our Food & Beverage tent with snacks for our walkers! The crowd also enjoyed balloon art, face painting and caricatures from ToonHeadz! Additional sponsors were Donate Life Georgia and RK & Co. Jewelers. We could not have done without you. Thank you to Joy Lim Nakrin, Esq., Joshua Skinner and Atlanta News First for sharing my story and promoting the walk. Thank you for creating content for liver disease and organ donation! Thank you to Brook Run Park, the @City of Dunwoody Parks & Recreation and the Dunwoody Police Department's Officer Eric Haviland for providing us with a beautiful space and the peace of mind we were protected! A big thank you to Ryan Love from Created with Love for being the DJ and playing GREAT music! Ryan’s mother was affected by liver disease and Ryan was instrumental in bringing the Liver Life Walk to Atlanta! Thank you to Anthony D. Lehman for being you. Is your company or doctor missing from our sponsor list? Could they not sponsor this year because “it wasn’t in the budget”? Budget planning is just months away for many companies and I can provide information so it CAN be in the budget for 2025! If you have any questions about ALF or want to get involved locally, do not hesitate to reach out! Exciting things are happening! THANK YOU! Beth Lehman

  • Last week, HLP Attorneys Dawn Pettigrew, Chad Hayes, Tony Lehman, and Mahalia Hall attended the ABA Forum on Construction Law Annual Meeting in New Orleans. The meeting topic was "The Art & Science of Construction Litigation," and over 600 attorneys from around the country attended. Tony also was recognized for his years of service as a member of the Forum's Governing Committee. Many, many crawfish were eaten, and a good time was had by all!
