We were honored to host the Home Furnishings Business Forty Under 40 event in honor of the Class of 2024. The HFB Forty Under 40 is the longest running industry award program which recognizes and celebrates the exceptional achievements of the brightest and most promising young professionals in the home furnishings industry. Congratulations to this year's class!

It was another fantastic Fall High Point Market! We saw industry friends and family, created new connections and celebrated the 5 industry leaders and icons as they were inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. The 2024 Pinning Ceremony will be taking place at the Hall of Fame on Sunday, October 27 at 12pm. This ceremony provides the honorees with a more intimate celebration before recognizing them later that night at our Innovate to Thrive Induction Banquet at The Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons. Don Essenberg was honored by his family and former employees from Universal Furniture and Legacy Classic |Modern Furniture with an inscribed brick in the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Pathways of Honor. Don passed away in September 2023. A graduate from Appalachian State University, Don started in the industry as a furniture sales rep. He quickly moved into management positions including vice president posts at Magnussen Home Furnishings and Universal Furniture, and president at Legacy Classic. What a lovely way to recognize his contributions to the industry.

Our Wanek Family and Ashley Furniture Industries Eternal Flame has been a meaningful addition to our building since its installation almost a year ago. It symbolizes the past, present, and future of the home furnishings industry, honoring the professionals who have shaped its success and recognizing the countless lives impacted by the industry every day.

While you're in town for Market, come by the Hall of Fame and "Tell Us Your Story." The Tell Us Your Story video booth was introduced last April, to encourage industry professionals and consumers to share their experiences within the home furnishings industry. With prompts such as, "What is your favorite piece of furniture in your home?" this exhibit is open to all to participate.
