Last week marked a milestone for the home equity investment (HEI) industry, as Information Management Network (IMN) hosted the first-ever conference dedicated to #HEIs. Hometap was proud to participate in this groundbreaking event. Hometap's leadership contributed to multiple sessions: our CEO Jeffrey Glass and Head of Structured Finance Cara Newman participated in panel discussions and our President & COO Sarah Dekin co-led a small group discussion for women in the industry. The conference brought to light several critical themes shaping our industry: 🏛  Regulation: The growing desire for regulation means that industry players are proactively seeking frameworks to ensure responsible growth and consumer protection. 📚  Homeowner Education: The importance of homeowner education emerged as another key focus, highlighting our collective responsibility to inform homeowners about HEIs as an alternative financing option. 💼  Securitization: Discussions on the impact of securitization underscored its role in shaping the future of HEIs and expanding market opportunities. The collaborative spirit and shared vision demonstrated by industry leaders at this conference point to an optimistic future in which HEIs play an increasingly vital role in empowering homeowners. We're excited to be at the forefront of this innovative field, and look forward to continuing these important conversations.
