Exciting news! The Massachusetts State Senate has officially declared the week of October 6, 2024 as the first annual Hygiene Insecurity Awareness Week! 🎉 This recognition marks a significant milestone for Hope & Comfort Hygiene Hub as we strive to bring attention to the often-overlooked crisis of hygiene insecurity. Lack of access to basic hygiene products affects not only physical and mental health but also school attendance and employment opportunities. We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters for standing by us as we continue our mission to tackle hygiene insecurity and its widespread impact. 🧡Special thanks to MA State Senator Becca Rausch for her dedication to our mission and for presenting us with this important resolution.

🌟 We are beyond thrilled to kick off Hygiene Insecurity Awareness Week in partnership with the New England Patriots Foundation and FLAG Flag Football at FLAG's annual Impact Day! 🌟 Tomorrow is going to be a huge day as we come together to assemble 4,000 hygiene kits for children supported by the Wonderfund and involved with the YouthConnect program at the Boys & Girls Club of Boston. We had a great time with Quincy Public Schools YouthWorks students, student interns, and staff members for a meaningful event focused on addressing hygiene insecurity. Together, we assembled and packed ⭐1,110 #essentialhygiene kits⭐! These kits were distributed to students at Snug Harbor Elementary, Broad Meadows Middle School, Point Webster Middle School, South West Middle School, and YouthWorks students. This event spanned 2 days and was part of our Hygiene Secure Schools program, which launched last school year. Collaborating with our QPS partners, this initiative aims to provide essential hygiene products for every student, which can significantly improve their health, confidence, and school attendance.
