Idealizing a Partner: How to Avoid the Trap? Idealization of a partner is a state where one person starts to view their significant other as absolutely perfect, without any flaws. This often leads to unrealistic expectations and future disappointment. ❓ How does idealization manifest? 1. Constant admiration. The partner only sees the best qualities in their loved one, ignoring any flaws. Everything they do seems perfect. 2. Attributing superhuman qualities. The partner begins to see their loved one as a superhero, expecting the impossible from them. 3. Dependency. When a partner is seen as a “savior” or the “solver of all problems,” the individual loses the ability to fulfill their own needs independently. 🧠 Why does this happen? We frequently idealize our partner because we expect them to fill our internal needs. It’s a psychological defense mechanism to cope with our own fears and insecurities. ⚖️ How to break free from this state? It’s important to identify which of your needs are unfulfilled and find ways to meet them yourself. This will help restore balance in the relationship and prevent painful disappointments. 💡 When should you seek help? If you feel stuck in idealization, and it’s preventing you from building healthy relationships, don’t face it alone. Working with a therapist can help uncover the root causes and guide you towards a solution. 📲 Need help from a specialist? On our platform www.hopeflow.online, you can easily find a professional who can help you navigate relationship difficulties and find inner balance. With care for you and your mental health, Hopeflow 💚

Why is it that, even accepting the severity of their condition of depression men experience strong resistance before seeking help? I'll tell you a story. In August, the Hopeflow immigrant mental health support project noticed a clear pattern in ordering therapist matching. The website www.hopeflow.online has a service to match a therapist to a client's needs based on condition, goals, personal characteristics and even the expert's appearance. More there https://lnkd.in/dbrbuAjp SO. Most of those who order the matching are depressed men. You may be heartened by the fact that men are seeking help en masse. However, the trend is that out of all those who have applied, only 2% of men have had sessions. The Hopeflow team set out to investigate the specifics of how men experience depressive states. After reading a number of scientific materials and talking to men with experience of depression, Hopeflow's counseling therapist Ellina Helal came to some interesting conclusions. * Male and female depression are not different at the level of biology. What is different is the social and cultural background that leads to depression. * Male depression is much more likely to end in suicide, the most tragic ending to depression possible. Society and cultural preconditions, especially in CIS countries, bring up in men a role model of a strong man without emotions. So we gathered leaders from Belarusian and Ukrainian diaspora to generate a common vision how to make a male depression more visible. What have we got: https://lnkd.in/d3ksfPm9 Thank you Ekaterina Zarubina Валентина Чекан Nick Mikulich and other guest for being ready to dive in to this difficult topic.

Check yourself for signs of depression. Hopeflow is hosting a month of preparation for the fall depression season The main signs of depression are: * A constant feeling of sadness or emptiness * Loss of interest in things that used to make you happy * Changes in appetite and weight * Trouble sleeping * Feelings of fatigue and exhaustion * Feelings of guilt or worthlessness * Difficulty concentrating * Thoughts of death or suicide If you notice more than one of the above signs, it is important not to ignore them. What to do? 1. Take a depression test. Links in the stories Beck Depression Scale https://lnkd.in/dyS2kA4A Zung's Depression Self-Assessment Test https://lnkd.in/dip5iYc9 The Brief Depression Questionnaire (PHQ-9). https://lnkd.in/ddku7zPT 2- Seek professional help. If test results show high levels of depression, it is important to seek help from a specialist. We will match you with an expert after you complete the questionnaire. https://lnkd.in/dZEeU4_9 3. Describe your story to MentalHub and experts will do a free review of your situation. Describe it here. https://lnkd.in/dazXE8Rb Depression can happen in everyone's life. And immigrants are more prone to it than those who have not experienced the stress of moving. Take care of yourself.

Why do we seek happiness in relationships but our mothers did not? Today we live in a time of change where traditional values are being transformed. We seek happiness and fulfillment in relationships. Why didn't our moms seek this as actively as we do? Our psyhologist Ellina Helal answering this queston. 1️⃣Изменение values Earlier, religion and tradition played an important role in our moms' lives. They sought answers to life's big questions from these sources. Increasingly, we refuse to follow external guidelines and are guided by our own feelings and inner self-consciousness. 2️⃣Борьба women for their rights Since the late 18th century, women have been actively fighting for their rights. The unconditional right to security and independence has changed our perception of happiness. In relationships, we now seek to fulfill deep emotional needs, not just physical security. 3️⃣Сексуальная revolution The sexual revolution and the advent of contraceptives, for the first time in human history, separated sex from procreation. We are learning to enjoy sex and building relationships as an important element of personal happiness, not just a means of having children. 4️⃣Новые opportunities Today, life expectancy is increasing and society is doing a better job of meeting basic needs. We have more time and desires and are willing to invest effort in creating harmonious and happy relationships. How to find happiness in modern relationships? 🌿Try to focus on your desires and feelings. 🌿Try to use open and honest ways of communicating with your partner. 🌿If this causes difficulties - don't hesitate to seek professional help. Want to better understand your desires and learn honest communication in a relationship? 📌Sign up for your first session or leave a request for a specialist on www.hopeflow.online Your mental support is close by! 💚

🚀 On June 6th, Andersen’s Head of BA & SA Maria Boyarko participated in an inspiring event by Google for Startups called "Fundraise. Pitch. Connect. Repeat." There, CEOs of prominent startups based in CEE shared their experiences. From Maria’s perspective, there are some profound insights we can draw: 1️⃣ It's vital to analyze requirements from different stakeholders when developing and launching a startup. 2️⃣ Building an MVP, prioritizing requirements, developing in iterations, collecting user feedback, and improving the product are crucial. Remember that striving to envision an ideal product overloaded with features can lead to protracted development. 👩💻 The second part of the event — “Women ideas networking” — was a powerful meeting of women entrepreneurs where they shared their ideas. This networking session was organized by Natallia Miranchuk, a Founder and CEO of Soula, listed among the top 30 women in IT according to Forbes Cyprus Women in Tech, and Nadia Damkouskaya, a Founder and CEO of Hopeflow, mentor to women founders. The participants who specialize in different spheres, e.g., mental health, marketing, agriculture, and public speaking, validated the relevance of their ideas and learned from each other's experiences. 🌟 Andersen’s experts, driven by our commitment to socially significant events, are delighted to share our unique expertise. We’re also thrilled to be energized by being around young companies with a fresh perspective and confidence! 🌟 #GoogleForStartups #VentureCapital #Startups #BusinessAnalysis #WomenInTech
