The Hope Horizon East Palo Alto Churrobots team had an incredible time at worlds back in April, thanks to the generosity of so many supporters. The trip was an amazing opportunity to meet new teams, have a memorable experience, and compete on the world stage. After coming home, interest in our team has grown significantly and our Churrobots high school team has now doubled in size, and we need mentors to help continue to guide our students in all aspects of robotics. Whether you have zero experience with robotics or several years of engineering skills, we'd love to have you join our students in exploring business, marketing, graphic design, computer-aided design, 3D printing, programming in Java, building legos, planning game strategies, and so much more! Join us in building something amazing! Learn more about our programs and sign up to volunteer! https://lnkd.in/g4i_rBDg

We recently hosted a Back to Programs Nights, and it was such a joy to see the excitement on the kids' faces as they showed their parents their classrooms. It was a special moment for both the kids and their parents as they shared what they’ve been working on in our programs, strengthening the connection between home and school. 💛

We had a blast hosting our volunteer orientation over the past two nights! This #ThankfulThursday we wanted to appreciate all of our volunteers who are opening doors to hope and opportunities for youth through our highly-relational environment. One of our students even volunteered to lead the tour! There are so many people that work behind the scenes to give our students and community the ability to use their skills to be future changemakers and leaders. Hard to believe summer is almost over! This summer we went to the mountains, to the Central Valley, and to the beach to bask in God’s creation. It was such a blessing to have fun with the students outside of a classroom and in a (mostly) phone free environment. Feeling refreshed and ready for the school year! #hopehorizonepa #summer #refreshed

An Exciting Leadership Update: Read the whole post: https://lnkd.in/gj5AGUwg Dear Hope Horizon Family and Friends, We are honored to announce the appointment of our next Executive Director, Josette (Josie) Langevine. Josie has been an integral part of our team, most recently serving as Co-Executive Director alongside Tiffany Hong. Josie's dedication and vision make her the ideal person to lead us forward and we are thrilled to have her step into this leadership role at Hope Horizon. We extend our deepest gratitude to Tiffany. This transition reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing leaders and fostering leadership development within Hope Horizon. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we remain dedicated to the mission and vision that have guided us since our founding. We look forward to many more years of hope, growth, and impact in our community. Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Sincerely, The Hope Horizon Board Members ----------- Dear Hope Horizon Family, I have been tremendously blessed to be part of Hope Horizon EPA for about 3.5 years now. I want to thank everyone for their support in the past 3.5 years. But now it is a necessary step for me to step aside for leaders to grow and flourish. I'm ecstatic for Josie’s leadership and can't wait to see how God will use this talented, self-less, hard working, caring leader. Thanks again for trusting me, walking with me and allowing me to be part of Hope Horizon. It’s been such an honor to be part of this organization and I will continue to support Hope Horizon in every way possible. Blessings, Tiffany Hong ----------- To my Hope Horizon family and friends, I am humbled to be invited by the Board of Hope Horizon East Palo Alto to be its new Executive Director. I could not have asked for a better co-executive director and friend, Tiffany Hong. As I pray for my next steps, I’m excited to be continuing and supporting an organization whose mission and vision resonates with my personal story. My heart has always been to build the younger generation up through faith and education so they can have boundless hope and a future. I look forward to meeting you and invite you to reach out to introduce yourself, tell me about your passion for Hope Horizon East Palo Alto, and share your ideas about what our community needs in the new season. Blessings, Josette (Josie) Langevine
