Houser Walker Architecture is thrilled to announce that Howard Wertheimer, FAIA, has joined the studio as a Principal Architect. From 2006-2019, Howard led Georgia Tech’s campus development as the Assistant Vice President for Capital Planning & Space Management and Institute Architect. During his tenure, Howard helped direct $1.5B in sustainable capital investments with a particular emphasis in sustainable development including the Kendeda Building, the first fully certified Living Building Challenge in the southeast, 25 LEED-certified buildings including 5 LEED Platinum projects and 2 AIA COTE Top Ten awardees. Howard also formerly served as Chief Operating Officer for the Piedmont Park Conservancy and as Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Facilities at Vanderbilt University. He is currently a Lecturer at Georgia Tech’s College of Design. “I’ve worked with Hank Houser and Greg Walker for 25 years and have utmost regard for them as individuals and design professionals.
