Redefining Energy
About us
The Energy Corridor District is a place with unmatched energy. As a municipal management district, our vision is to be internationally recognized as a high-quality place to work, live and invest. One of the Gulf Coast's foremost urban centers, The Energy Corridor is home to 22,000 residents, 94,000 employees and the world's leading energy and energy services companies. Founded in 2001, The Energy Corridor District works with local, regional and national entities to help make The Energy Corridor one of the nation's most desirable places to live and work. Covering more than 2,000 acres, The District provides long-range urban planning, landscape design and public space improvements; multimodal transportation solutions to alleviate traffic congestion; enhancements for safe pedestrian and bicycle travel; sourcing and securing funding and grants; police patrols and public safety programs; business development support; and ongoing communication to stakeholders about news, issues and events. Located in West Houston along Interstate 10 from Barker Cypress to Kirkwood and extending south along Eldridge Parkway to Briar Forest, The Energy Corridor District offers high-quality, attractive neighborhoods, first-class hotels, world-class healthcare, convenient retail and well-performing schools. Residents and employees alike enjoy more than 50 miles of trails and a 26,000-acre playground of parks, natural areas, sporting fields and picnic areas. The District helped create the West Houston Trails Master Plan, which seeks to nearly double the miles of trails. A highly livable place to work, live, invest and play, The Energy Corridor is a place with unmatched energy.

We are beyond proud to announce that interim director of The Energy Corridor District Bob Eury recently received the Dan E. Sweat, Jr. Award for Lifetime Achievement in Downtown Leadership from the International Downtown Association at their 70th annual Conference & Marketplace in Seattle, Washington. This award, which is not given frequently, is reserved for individuals of national prominence who have made major lifetime contributions to downtown revitalization. Previous awardees include Hugh McColl, CEO of Bank of America; Kirk Watson, Mayor of Austin, TX; and Fred Kent, President and Founder of the Project for Public Spaces. Since 1983, Bob Eury has served as President of Central Houston, Inc. He is also the President/CEO of the Houston Downtown Management District, a special assessment district within downtown Houston, President of the Downtown Redevelopment Authority, and administrator of the City of Houston’s Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone #3. We are honored to have him as part of the Energy Corridor District team. Congratulations to our team in Houston for winning the REDnews Real Estate Awards for Owner of the Year! We’re honored to win this award and proud of our team’s success. Strong ownership matters and our Houston portfolio is debt free. In 2023, our in-house leasing team closed 60 leasing contracts totaling 700,000 square feet (more square feet than any other year of Granite’s Houston portfolio existence). Our Property Experience Team is dedicated to delivering a great customer experience with desired amenities, events and improvements. Thank you for always going above and beyond!

The Energy Corridor District’s distinctive street signs, which have been installed since the District’s founding, are being removed and replaced with new signage. The updated street signage reflects the District’s new branding, gives a fresh look to the area and is a great way to highlight the District as a place; they help people immediately understand where they are, but also serve as reminders about how unique an area The Energy Corridor District is. The new signage features our primary colors in red and blue with white lettering, making them easier to read and see. The new signage is sure to make a difference in the look and feel of the District. The Energy Corridor remains a top place for business relocations and in July, the District was excited to welcome Gulf Companies to their new home in the beautiful Eldridge Oaks building located at 1080 Eldridge Parkway. Earlier this year, Stream Realty Partners hosted the District’s quarterly commercial real estate round table and treated attendees to a sneak peek of the newly renovated space that features an outdoor patio area with direct connections to the trails in Terry Hershey Park. Gulf Companies joins several other major energy companies that call the District home. #EnergyCorridor #EnergyCorridorDistrict #RealEstate #GulfCompanies #EldridgePkwy #CommercialRealEstate #CommercialProperties #StreamRealty
