Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming over 1,000 people to our careers fair, marking a fantastic start to #NationalCareersWeek. From inspiring conversations to on-the-spot job offers and interview opportunities, the fair provided a valuable platform for local job seekers to connect directly with our employer partners (Team Heathrow) and explore exciting career pathways at the airport. Represented at the event were our partners across several sectors including retail, construction and logistics. To excite students into careers within Aviation, we were also joined by HRUC (Harrow, Richmond & Uxbridge Colleges) who shed a light on the Aviation Generation course. We’re looking forward to hearing more about the opportunities that have come from yesterday’s event! We are thrilled to celebrate #CollegesWeek2025! To start the week and honour today's theme, 'Kickstart the Economy', we were delighted to welcome entrepreneur and winner of BBC series 'The Apprentice', Harpreet Kaur, to HRUC. Through our new Immersive Room technology, Harpreet spoke with Business students across Harrow College, Richmond upon Thames College, and Uxbridge College Campuses. The students were all inspired by her experiences, as she shared her advice and some of the key skills and attributes that have helped her become a successful business owner. Harpreet highlighted her experience as a South Asian woman, notably the challenges faced by women from similar backgrounds who aspire to set up their own enterprises or break away from traditional family expectations.
