In 2008, Rwanda changed its national language from French to English as part of a strategic decision to drive growth, innovation, and international cooperation. As a result, developing English language proficiency and communication skills became a critical challenge and a major milestone across the country. Since 2020, we've partnered with the Rwanda Development Board and Mastercard Foundation to deliver life-changing language and skills training. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 14 superstar teachers from the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso to our office in London. These English teachers have been at the forefront of delivering breakthrough learning results via our learning platforms deployed in schools across the state and a trip to the UK has been their well-deserved prize. We are so proud at Hult EF Corporate Education / EF EFEKTA English for Adults to play a part in helping millions of people across the world communicate better, not least in schools. Sometimes, however, communication doesn’t mean persuasion judging by the expressions on our visitors’ faces when I explained that adding milk is the optimal way to enjoy tea! Thanks Ivan Makeenko for facilitating and the amazing team in Brazil (Duval Guimaraes & Co.) for the ground-breaking work in bringing these project to life!
