Ridiculously honored to have this chance to chat with the always-brilliant Alix Dunn about the role of social media content in international court cases. And for some serious nerd-fun I highly recommend listening to both series put out by Computer Says Maybe: What the FAccT? and (the newest) Exhibit X
How does the International Criminal Court work with social media companies to acquire evidence? How has generative AI and synthetic media impacted evidence in courts? When can we expect to see social scientists as expert witnesses in court? Dr. Alexa Koenig answers these and more with Alix Dunn for Exhibit X:

Omar Gómez Trejo, former special prosecutor of the infamous disappearance of 43 student teachers in #Ayotzinapa, Mexico, joined HRC as a scholar this spring. He continues working on fighting impunity and seeking public accountability for victims. “Faced with this lacerating figure of impunity, the challenge is large," Trejo said. "What’s needed is to truly investigate and for the authorities to be accountable to the victims in their work.” Huge thank you to Andrew Cohen at University of California, Berkeley - School of Law for this excellent profile:
