We had some engaging discussions on HSC’s upcoming collective advocacy efforts, including our #JustPay workforce campaign, procurement reform, and crisis resilience. A special thank you to New York City Council Member Justin Brannan for speaking with members about his leadership on procurement reform, and to Jason Ortiz from Moonshot Strategies for giving us the latest on City and State politics. ✍ Sign on your organization by OCTOBER 9 to support the sustainability of human services organizations! We're joining with partners across the State to collectively ask the Governor to include a 7.8% investment inclusive of ALL State-contracted human services providers, using the existing cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) mechanism, in the 2025-26 Executive Budget Proposal. This investment will provide the necessary resources to make meaningful progress in  addressing inflationary increases and raising wages for direct care and frontline workers - impacting over 800,000 human services workers and thousands of human services providers across New York. We've extended the deadline for our 2024 Procurement Survey to SEPTEMBER 25.
