Together with the National Aquatic Industry Committee (NAIC), we have launched the 2025 National Aquatic Industry Workforce Survey. This year’s survey will capture how the industry is evolving in response to changing community needs and behaviours, workforce trends, and advancements in technology. The survey’s findings will play a crucial role in informing future strategies and workforce development initiatives. The aquatics industry is built on the dedication of passionate professionals - the lifeguards, swim teachers, facility managers, and many more - who keep our communities safe in and around the water. But to truly support this workforce, we need to understand their challenges, needs, and aspirations. That’s why we’re running a national survey to capture real insights on aquatic safety, education, and leadership. By sharing your experiences, you’ll help us advocate for better safety measures, stronger workforce support, and leadership opportunities across the industry. The survey is completely anonymous, but if you choose to leave your details, you will be in with a chance of winning one of 20 x $150 eGiftcards. And they’re redeemable with hundreds of brands, so you can choose where to spend it. Complete the 2025 survey by visiting: https://lnkd.in/gEQesStw #AquaticIndustry #AquaticWorkforce #WaterSafety

  • HumanAbility was delighted to participate in the Regional Care Sector Workforce Summit in Port Augusta this week.     Our CEO, Emma King OAM and Director of Training Products, Eleanor Ravenarki attended and it was a privilege for Emma to present the 2024 HumanAbility Workforce Plan which includes strategies, insights and solutions designed to support current and future needs of the care and support workforce.    Mayor of The Port Augusta City Council, Linley Shine opened the Summit and Senator Karen Grogan gave the opening address, with both speaking passionately about their experiences across the care and support sectors and the needs of rural and regional South Australia.     It was fantastic to hear numerous regional showcase presentations, each highlighting key initiatives taking place across regional SA. Topics included supporting positive rural and regional placement experiences, attracting overseas workers, community led initiatives and efforts to develop the next generation of the care and support workforce.     A brilliant panel facilitated by the fabulous Ross Womersley, CEO of SACOSS (South Australian Council of Social Service) explored critical workforce considerations and insights from the sector focused on addressing workforce needs, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable growth across the care and support industries.     This was a jam-packed event in every way and a joy to be part of. A huge shout out to the organisers from the Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program, including Andrea Broadfoot, Jack Ritchie and Lisa Brock.    We look forward to continuing to connect with everyone we met and working together. #HumanAbility #SA #Workforce

  • HumanAbility is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 and support this year’s theme, Accelerate Action. Our latest Workforce Plan found 75% of Australia’s care and support workers identify as female. In fact, when compared to the broader economy, workers in aged and disability services, children’s education and care, health, human services and sport and recreation are 60% more likely to be women. Women making up the majority of the care and support workforce highlights the importance of strengthening and developing these critical sectors as we strive for gender equality. To the incredible women powering the care and support sectors - thank you. #HumanAbility #IWD2025 #IWD #AccelerateAction
