Steven Fredley, Kristine Devine, and Daeyeong Kim recently published the HWG Advisory “FCC Adopts Rules Requiring Georouting for All Wireless Calls to 988.” The advisory explores the details of the FCC’s Report and Order requiring all wireless carriers to be capable of providing the Lifeline Administrator with georouting data on 988 calls so they can be routed to the caller’s geographically appropriate crisis center. The advisory also highlights the FCC’s Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, which establishes a similar georouting requirement for covered 988 text messages. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eAmTtSfs
