What a start to the summer! This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to Fenway Park for the Savannah Bananas “Banana Ball Tour” and interview former Hyannis Harbor Hawks now playing for the Savannah Bananas and Party Animals. Such a great experience.
As the MLB hiring season wraps up, the Hyannis Harbor Hawks are ecstatic to announce that 9 of our interns have secured roles in MLB front offices! Over the past two years, we have strived to create a top-tier baseball ops internship program to attract the brightest young baseball minds in the country. We are looking forward to welcoming a new group of interns this summer! They will push the boundaries of what we can achieve with analytics and help strengthen our MLB pipeline. The Harbor Hawks are Hiring!! The Hawks are on the hunt for a Grant Writer, Professional Fundraiser, and Assistant Treasurer. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League are in search of volunteers to assist in the operations of our historic franchise. The Harbor Hawks is a non-profit organization that sustains operations thanks to the time and dedication of dozens of volunteers, and we want YOU to join our team! Commissioned by the Hyannis Athletic Association, the Harbor Hawks play their home games at Judy Walden Scarafile Field at McKeon Park, just two minutes from Main Street Hyannis. As the Hawks continue to grow their team on the diamond, we aim to bolster our team behind the scenes. If you are a retired professional or someone with experience and free time, consider the following positions: Grant Writer: - Manage the reapplication process for grants the Hyannis Harbor Hawks have received in the past. - Author grant proposals and fulfill all requirements of posted grants Research and apply for new grants that the Hyannis Harbor Hawks are eligible for. Fundraising Specialist: -Develop engaging and innovative fundraising initiatives during Harbor Hawk games. -Plan and execute fundraising events during the offseason and off days during the regular season. -Work with the Director of Corporate Development to secure sponsors for fundraisers and events. -Build community relationships through fundraisers and events. Assistant treasurer: -Work with the current Head Treasurer to manage the finances and bookkeeping for the Hyannis Athletic Association. -Ensure vendors and invoices are paid promptly. -Assist in the logging and tracking of payments from sponsors, donors, and ancillary revenue sources. -Provide a clear picture of the Hyannis Athletic Association’s financial standing at monthly board meetings on Zoom.
