Building a community through storytelling & outreach to squash stigmas & misconceptions about #neurodivergent learners.
About us
Founded by filmmaker/actor and neurodivergent learner Aaron Wolf who teamed with, among others, professional educator and the foundation's Executive Director Bari Levin. Our mission: We are creating a more inclusive world by increasing the visibility of neuro-divergent learning styles through community and storytelling in schools and the workplace. The I Am Able Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is a national information and public advocacy resource and platform where our divergently-abled community and allies join together to change a culture that demands conformity over equity and inclusion of our friends and family members who learn and think differently. Together we are changing the classroom and workplace narrative! I Am Able Empowerment Groups are forming in cities throughout the US. These groups will provide in-person hang out and discussion groups aimed at increasing support and networking opportunities to participants. Groups offer a check-in and socialize with like-minded friends, discussions may include: stigma or challenges in the workplace, building confidence increasing personal accountability celebrating invisible differences Our national coalition is an empowering community provide inclusive resources for educators, administrators, parents and, most importantly, students and adults with learning differences and neurodiversity. Our coalition will support policies and programs that empower people with invisible challenges and advocate for more funding and resources to provide holistic solutions for our community. Will you join us in thinking differently?

We are thrilled to announce the latest updates to the We All Learn Differently (WALD) Playbook! Designed to foster empathy and understanding about learning differences, our playbook is now enhanced with teacher, student, and parent surveys, and encourages the submission of photos, videos, and student artwork. An addendum was created which includes additional questions to serve as conversation starters for students after watching the flagship WALD video. Our goal remains the same: to start meaningful conversations and promote acceptance in middle schools, but now with even more dynamic tools for educators, parents, and students.
