Last week, the IADC Houston Chapter in conjunction with the Houston Chapter of the API - American Petroleum Institute hosted a luncheon panel discussion focusing on “Delivering Service & Equipment Value in a Competitive Landscape”. These prominent leaders of the energy industry illuminated us to their unique approaches and perspectives as to how they navigate delivering world class service and equipment to their customers today while also planning for tomorrow. Thank you to everyone in attendance, our partners Justin L. Lurie and the API, and of course our panelists Lindsy Sallee, Lee Womble, Cameron Craig, PE, & Nicko Dodd. And also especially to our moderator Jason Gahr from ExxonMobil who did a tremendous job driving the conversation. We look forward to seeing everyone for our Charity Clay Shoot in March and our next luncheon in April!

Last week, the IADC Houston Chapter hosted its final luncheon of 2024. Sponsored by the IADC’s DrillersPAC, the event featured insightful breakdowns and analysis of the upcoming elections from International Association of Drilling Contractors’s VP of Policy, Joe Lillis, and Cornerstone Government Affairs Principal, Tyler Nelson. It also included an engaging question and answer session, moderated by the captivating Mark LaCour of Oil and Gas Global Network. Last Friday, the IADC Houston Chapter hosted a dozen of our scholarship recipients from Texas A&M University and University of Houston on board a Valaris Limited semisubmersible drilling rig docked in Galveston, TX. These exceptional students were able to observe and interact with all the systems that make operating an offshore drilling rig possible. We are thrilled to be able to provide an opportunity for the next generation of drillers to gain a glimpse into our industry.
