As cities and counties in the path of Hurricane Helene respond to the tragic wind and flood damage, we are reminded of the essential, often unseen work carried out by city and county managers, emergency preparedness professionals, first responders, and other public servants. These individuals play a critical role in preparing communities, executing rescue operations, aiding recovery, and rebuilding after natural disasters strike. Thank you to all those who serve and protect our communities.

ICMA Stands with the City of Springfield, Ohio - Government. Public servants who show up every day to do their job on behalf of the community should never have to work in fear of violence. ICMA denounces all forms of violence, threats, and intimidation, which undermines the very foundation of our society. We thank our members, like Bryan Heck, who continue to show up every day with the sole purpose serving their community.
