Born into the family business, Linzie Venegas Tee'04, TEE'10 has been a part of The Ideal Group, Inc. since she could say the alphabet. Now, as president, she’s at the helm of the multi-company enterprise, driving growth and community impact in southwest Detroit. “Even though we’re a small business, I never really worked for my dad,” Venegas shares. “He always had me working for someone else in the office...I was using Excel and PowerPoint when I was 11 or 12.” This early hands-on experience laid the foundation for her role today, where she oversees accounting, HR, administration, and marketing for the company’s diverse ventures. “The greatest thing about being in business is your employees. You have to really love people to be in business,” Venegas says, reflecting the core values that guide her work.
