Just last week, the fountain’s opening ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of this historical project. Our August Safety Champion of the Month™, Jeff Allwelt, Ironworker, was recently presented the Ideal Contracting Safety Champion belt during the morning stretch and flex. Jeff is currently working on the Ford Blue Oval Battery Park project in Marshall, MI. As a Journeyman Ironworker, Jeff has a wealth of knowledge and experience, which he utilizes every day to support the project and ensure the safety of his team members. He performs his job with purpose and professionalism, both of which are at the core of Ideal Safety Champions. Last week, our teams had a blast at the 2nd Annual Floral Fiesta Fundraiser at Cadillac Urban Gardens on Merritt. The evening was packed with amazing performances and delicious food from pop-up chefs who used fresh produce from the garden. “You build something, it's going to last a lifetime.” We couldn’t have said it better, Drew! Andrew Thomas is a Local 687 Carpenter Apprentice with Ideal Contracting. Now heading into the fourth year of his apprenticeship, Drew is well on his way to becoming a Journeyman Carpenter and teaching future apprentices the knowledge he’s earned. Skilled trades apprenticeship programs are an excellent pathway for students coming out of high school. Not only do you earn a unique set of skills, but you also get paid to learn on the job. You’re building projects that are going to stand the test of time and positively impact the world around you. Our team had the honor of installing the steel supports for the newly hung 2023 National Championship banners on Michigan Stadium's north and south scoreboards!
