At IFG, we take pride in our commitment to support our community! This marks the second consecutive year that we have partnered with Nationwide at our annual National Conference corn hole challenge. Thanks to all of you, our participants, we successfully raised 162 bags of Growlers Dog Bones, all while having fun! Growlers provides training, employment, and volunteerism opportunities to individuals with disabilities. We donated these bags to the San Diego Humane Society and Helen Woodward Animal Center. Their dedication to animal welfare and community service is truly inspiring. Thank you to everyone for your support and our local animal shelters for all their hard work! Your contributions make a significant difference in the lives of many, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of giving back. Together, we are making a positive impact!

Real Assets Adviser is thrilled to announce the appointment of Madison Turbeville, CAIA, to the Real Assets Adviser editorial advisory board. Ms. Turbeville serves as the Manager and head of the Alternative Investments Department at Independent Financial Group, LLC.  Her responsibilities include due diligence and product support functions for all Alternative Investments. She is responsible for growing the department’s sales and revenues, currently averaging $500 million and $5 million per year, respectively. Ms. Turbeville has extensive industry experience on both sides of the business. She has represented Alternative Investment product distribution, portfolio management, and broker dealer due diligence. Prior to joining IFG, Ms. Turbeville worked on the Portfolio Oversight team of CIM Group. Her team managed an aggregate $12.0 billion of net lease commercial real estate across five non-traded REIT portfolios. Ms. Turbeville successfully led CIM fund mergers, alternative financing transactions, securities issuances, and large-scale portfolio acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to her role at CIM Group, Ms. Turbeville was a regional wholesaler for Cole Capital. Cole Capital is a non-traded REIT and 1031 DST sponsor. Ms. Turbeville holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and an Arizona Real Estate license in addition to her Series 7 and 63 licenses. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from James Madison University, where she studied mathematics. Welcome, Madison! And that’s a wrap! The 2024 IFG National Conference has officially come to a close. What an incredible event it was!
