Excited to announce that Priyanka Deo (MSc, MS, Ed.M) has joined the IGNITE Pathways Board of Directors! Priyanka is a distinguished media professional with an impressive international background, and we’re honored to have her on our team. Currently serving as the Director of Media Strategy at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS), Priyanka brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to IGNITE. With graduate degrees from Harvard, USC, and the London School of Economics, as well as her undergraduate education from UIS, her academic achievements are as remarkable as her professional journey. Her career includes key roles with The Times of India Group, where she was a pivotal member of the COO's office and hosted her own digital show. Priyanka has also been an anchor and deputy editor at Associated Broadcasting and is recognized as a national political commentator in India. She played a significant role in the communications team for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 2019 Lok Sabha national elections. At UIS, Priyanka was not just an academic achiever but also the captain of the women’s NCAA varsity tennis team and a nationally recognized policy debater. She was honored with the Lincoln Medallion and named a Student Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois.
