Excited to share that the American Heart Association has published a new peer-reviewed study of 5,520 Unified Care patients documenting the impact of remote patient monitoring, health coaching, and integrated care on patients with Stage 2 hypertension. Longitudinal analysis of the data showed that average blood pressure steadily decreased over the 24-month study period, with the most significant improvements happening within the first 6 months. Patients who self-monitored at least 16 days / month achieved the most positive outcomes, but even those with lower levels of adherence saw benefits. Conducted in collaboration with the Stanford Prevention Research Center and the UCI-Institute for Future Health, the study results were also presented at the AHA's Annual Scientific Sessions in Chicago by UC Irvine researchers.
