Javier Loera - Cervantes for a visit to Ed Miniat LLC SVP location, following the presentation of an Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) reimbursement grant on behalf of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity earlier this month. Manufacturing is the largest contributor of any industry to the state’s Gross Domestic Product, generating more than $580 billion for the state’s economy each year. The industry directly employs 662,298 workers but ultimately supports as many as 1,771,928 jobs – nearly a third of all jobs in Illinois. On October 1, the start of Manufacturing Moth, the State of Illinois launched a manufacturing marketing campaign to boost Illinois’ manufacturing talent pipeline.
