Last week, our Founder and CEO, Elina Onitskansky, sat down with BenefitsPRO to discuss the ongoing debate surrounding obesity treatments—particularly the role of drugs versus lifestyle changes. Bottom line: we need to move away from a one-size-fits-all approach to obesity. Elina emphasizes, "Some of that comes from this mindset of diet culture that we just can't shake. The persistent idea that we can 'solve' obesity if everyone just does keto, or paleo, or the grapefruit diet, or gets on a GLP. We need to get to a place that is much more individualized." Elina also highlights the importance of: ⭐ Equipping individuals with the tools and support to live healthier, longer, and more productive lives through a combination of medical and lifestyle support ⭐ Ilant's commitment to providing members access to a multi-disciplinary care team to provide both medical and lifestyle support ⭐ Identifying which individuals might benefit the most from specific types of treatment ⭐ And much more! Thank you to Pulse 2.0 for interviewing our Founder and CEO Elina Onitskansky. During the interview, Elina shared some great insights, including her favorite memory at Ilant Health so far. “One of the most meaningful things that I’ve found happening (and it reminds me of the early days of #mentalhealth) is that, after I talk about what we do, people will come up to me and say – thanks for sharing that – my colleagues don’t know but I’m in treatment for #obesity.” Check out the full interview: https://lnkd.in/ge7tUYXy
