Dog owners know an affectionate greeting from their furry friend can make all the difference after a tough day. On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, we remain committed to supporting the mental well-being of our colleagues around the globe. This summer, ITW Shakeproof welcomed some special guests from Alliance of Therapy Dogs at their Watertown, Wisconsin, site. Colleagues spent a few minutes at the drop-in wellness event interacting with the dogs and learning about the national nonprofit’s network of caring individuals and their special dogs committed to sharing smiles and joy. "It’s important to schedule these types of opportunities as a reminder to all of us to stop and take a moment for ourselves,” says Melissa Bovee, Wellness Champion at ITW Shakeproof Watertown. #ProudToBeITW

In recognition of #HBCUWeek, we are excited to introduce Malik Rivers, a product engineer with Vulcan, a division of ITW’s Food Equipment Group. Malik joined ITW as an intern while earning his degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina A&T State University before starting full-time in May 2023. He credits his time at A&T with developing a solid foundation for his engineering career, which made the transition to the workforce smoother than he expected. Now, Malik finds himself regularly running design updates and diagnosing manufacturing issues on the production floor. Malik has immersed himself in ITW’s culture as an active member of our African American Network (AAN) and by embracing an entrepreneurial spirit. “At ITW, I have been empowered to explore my own path to ensure the best outcome,” says Malik. “With ITW's support, I've been able to pursue my passions of Design and Finite Element Analysis with the hopes of eventually acquiring a certification in SolidWorks.” #ProudToBeITW #NCAT #AggiePride
